Faculty members Justin Sinkovich and Jerry Brindisi have written an article, “The Art, Influence, and Business of Satire – Peeling Back the Layers of The Onion”, which is to be published in the January 2016 issue of the International Journal of Arts Management (IJAM).
The article discusses The Onion, a Digital Media Company, well known for it’s weekly satirical newspaper publication. Delving into the business practices and influence on the global market, this article truly goes layers deep in analyzing The Onion as it relates to media trends, technology, advertising, and revenue generation.
Sinkovich and Brindisi are both faculty members in the Business & Entrepreneurship Department. Sinkovich coordinates the Media Management BA and Self-Management courses and Brindisi coordinates the Music Business Management program.
