What is your major or BA?

Live & Performing Arts Management, minoring in Marketing.

Why did you choose Columbia’s Business & Entrepreneurship program?

I’ve always had a huge interest in pop culture and the entertainment industry. When it came down to picking a school to accommodate my interests, I knew that Columbia had the best programs to focus on arts, entertainment, and media management.

What are your goals for being in this program? Do you have a dream job?

My goals for being in this program are to succeed by accomplishing my goal of being a part of the entertainment industry. I’ve learned so much and learn something new everyday. A dream job of mine would be to either work for MTV or E! network and be the next Ryan Seacrest.

What is the most positive impact this program has had on your professional development and future career?

The most positive impact this program has had on my professional development and future career is that networking is key. A lot of my professors always say, “It’s not about what you know, but who you know”.

What classes have helped you the most and why?

Honestly all of the Business & Entrepreneurship general requirement classes have all helped me in some way. With each class you gain knowledge and information about business and how it will apply to our future.

Are there any particular professors who have made a significant impression on you? In what ways?

All of the professors I have had thus far have impacted me in some way but one of them in particular, Monique Maye, has had a significant impression on me. Monique is always pushing me to try my best at everything I do and is such a positive influence. I consider her more than just a professor, but a mentor.  She has taught me so much within the last three years about the entertainment business industry.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years I see myself living in Los Angeles, working at my dream job and being happy, motivated, and successful!
