Mike Shannon is a recent Illinois State University grad who just got funded on ABC’s hit series Shark Tank! He is now the CoFounder/CEO of PackBack (http://www.packbackbooks.com).

“Packback rents digital textbooks for $5 or less and allows students to compare prices when buying or selling textbooks, ensuring students obtain the best deal on a major college expense. We are a student-founded, student-run Chicago startup that is shifting control back into the hands of students when buying or selling expensive textbooks.”

On Wednesday 10/29 at 9:00am, Mike will be speaking to Entrepreneurship students and anyone else interested in attending about his own experience, from the “ah-ha moment” to the business plan to bootstrapping the business to taking on venture capital investors and more. We’ll discuss his personal trajectory as an entrepreneur and as a co-founder, then as a company, including the investment process, closing the deal, and of course Shark Tank!
