The Spudnik Press Benefit and Auction features a Karl Wirsum drawing “Gab Grab” donated by the Center for Book Paper and Print as well as a framed work by 2nd year Book & Paper MFA Chris Flynn. The auction has three parts–first work by contemporary artists selected with the help of guest curatorial advisor Zach Cahill of the University of Chicago; next works donated by Chicago’s museums and galleries that have print and editions programs; and third new experimental monoprints by artists selected for their conceptual depth and adventurous aesthetics. There is a price point for everyone.

The auction features friends of Columbia College Chicago –including Kate McQuillen (past CBPA/Anchor artist in residence + part time faculty), Tom Burtonwood (former faculty), Inge Bruggeman (former Inter Arts faculty), Miller & Shellabarger (past CBPA residents).

Price is $15 general admission or $50 for the preview. Cocktails, silent auction and great music!

This is a really good networking opportunity for all those interested in book, paper, and print arts!
