Submissions for the 2019-2020 Young Authors Writing Competition are now closed. On behalf of the English and Creative Writing Department of Columbia College Chicago, we want to thank all of the talented writers who have submitted their stories, poems, and essays. In all, nearly 1000 authors participated this year!

Our judges are eager to begin reading your work. We will notify the Top 10 finalists in each category near the end of March, and winning authors will be notified in April. The winning authors will have the option of having their work published on this page for all to read.
