Columbia College Chicago Theatre alums are in the cast and production team of the musical The Secret Garden, which has been extended at Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre. The show now runs through January 5, 2025, at 721 Howard St. in the Chicago suburb of Evanston. For tickets, click here.

The show’s cast includes Columbia College alum Dakota Hughes ’15, a graduate of the Theatre Program’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance.

Matthew Chase

The show’s production team includes Columbia College alums Rose Johnson ’21, a graduate of the Theatre Program’s BA Program in Theatre Design and Technology, and Matthew Chase ’20, a graduate of the Theatre Program’s Theatre Technology program. Johnson is the show’s scenic designer and scenic charge, and Chase is the show’s sound designer and director of production.

In addition to The Secret Garden, Theo Ubique presents another edition of its popular Broadway Open Mic nights on Wednesday, December 4, led by Columbia College Chicago Theatre Program alum Alex Newkirk ’11, a graduate of the Theatre Program’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance.
