Preston Max Allen

Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alum Preston Max Allen ’13, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting who also took courses in the Theatre Department’s Musical Theatre and Comedy Studies programs, is featured in the Broadway’s Future Songbook Series on Monday, May 21, at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center, located at 111 Amsterdam Avenue (at 65th Street) in New York. The Broadway’s Future Songbook Series, presented by Arts and Artists of Tomorrow, showcases the work of up-and-coming musical theatre writers. As previously reported in this blog, Preston Max Allen is nominated for a 2018 Joseph Jefferson Award in the category of New Musical for his musical Carrie 2: The Rage (An Unauthorized Musical Parody), which was premiered by Chicago’s Underscore Theatre Company in October of 2017.
