Jon Martinez

The show — an evening of Motown, classic rock, doo-wop, jukebox favorites, and songs from set in that era — is created and directed by Harmony France and Jon Martinez, former students in the Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department’s BA programs in Acting and Musical Theatre. The show’s musical director is Columbia College Chicago Music Department alum Emily Barrett ’12, a graduate of the Music Department’s BA Program in Music with a Concentration in Instrumental Performance. While a student at Columbia College, Barrett was the musical director for the Theatre Department’s productions of The Fantasticks, Spring Awakening, and Hairspray.

Firebrand Theatre is Chicago’s first musical theatre committed to employing and empowering women by expanding opportunities on and off the stage.
