Columbia College Chicago Theatre alum Kaiser Ahmed ’08, a graduate of the Theatre Program’s Theatre Directing Program and artistic director of Chicago’s Jackalope Theatre, will headline a workshop on securing resources for theatrical self-producing on Monday, February 24, from 7 to 8:30 PM at Jackalope Theatre’s space inside Broadway Armory Park, located at 5917 N. Broadway in Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood. Ahmed’s workshop will focus on securing resources to support your creative idea – including resources of space or equipment, community partnerships, expertise, grant funding, audience development, sponsorships, and other opportunities to expand the reach of your idea. The cost of the workshop is $15 or “Pay What You Can.” To register for the workshop, click here.
The workshop is part of a series called Concept to Reality: A Practical Guide to Self-Producing, presented by the Siddons Artistic Council of Chicago’s Sarah Siddons Society. The workshops focus on the creation, realization, and marketing of live performance projects.
