Columbia College Chicago Theatre Alumni in Cast and Creative Team of World Premiere ‘Prodigal Daughter,’ Running at Raven Theatre through June 22

Alumni of the Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department are in the cast and creative/production team of The Prodigal Daughter, a world premiere drama about a Black family in Chicago during the “Red Summer” of 1919. The show runs through June 22 at the award-winning Raven Theatre, located at 6157 N. Clark in Chicago’s Edgewater Andersonville Theatre District. For tickets, click here.

RjW Mays

The show’s cast includes Columbia College alum RjW Mays ’06, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting.

Ashley Keys

The production team includes Columbia College alum Ashley Keys ’22, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Theatre Directing program. Keys, who directed the Columbia College Theatre Department’s mainstage production of The Bluest Eye earlier this year, is the associate director of The Prodigal Daughter.

Kirsten Baity

Also on the production team are Columbia College alums Line Bower ’22, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Theatre Design and Technology, and Kirsten Baity ’21, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA in Theatre Program with a Playwriting concentration. Bower and Baity are the Raven production’s technical director and cultural sensitivity specialist & intimacy designer respectively.
