Columbia College Chicago Theatre Dept. Alums Bring ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ to Paramount Theatre Aug. 30-Oct. 15

Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alums and faculty members are in the cast and creative team of the musical Little Shop of Horrors at the Paramount Theatre in Aurora, Illinois – the nation’s largest musical theatre subscription house. The cast of this crowd-pleasing rock/doo-wop musical horror-movie spoof features Columbia College alum Teressa LaGamba ’13, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting.

LaGamba plays the leading female role of Audrey, a flower-shop assistant whose co-worker/boyfriend unwittingly nurtures a people-eating plant from outer space.

Also in the cast are Columbia College alums Jared David Michael Grant ’12, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Musical Theatre, and Ann Delaney ’14, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance.

Isaiah Silvia-Chandley

The production’s creative team includes Columbia College alums Michael George ’16, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting, and Isaiah Silvia-Chandley ’18, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance. George is the show’s co-choreographer, and Silvia-Chandley is the assistant choreographer.

Columbia College Theatre Department faculty member Susan Gosdick is the show’s dialect coach. The musical director is former Columbia College Theatre Department student and staff accompanist Kory Danielson. And Broadway veteran Jim Corti, a former Musical Theatre Dance instructor in the Columbia College Theatre Department’s Musical Theatre Program, is Paramount Theatre’s artistic director.
