Columbia College Chicago Theatre Dept. Alum Brings ‘Queer Pirate Romance Adventure’ Play to the Stage Aug. 18-27

Counterfeit Combat, a theatre company co-founded by Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alum Chloe Streif ’18, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting with a Minor in Stage Combat, presents And They Were Shipmates: A Queer Pirate Romance Adventure, described as “a gay pirate show full of fights and fun that you can’t miss!” The show runs August 18 through 27 at The Raven Room at Redline VR, 4702 N. Based on the story of infamous female pirates Anne Bonny and Mary Read, this raucous romantic comedy, described as an “occasionally true story based on historical facts,” promises to have audiences “laughing, sighing, and gasping, oh aye!”
