Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alum Michael Kurowski ’16, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance, costars in the musical Big Fish, running January 25 through March 19 at the Marriott Theatre in the Chicago suburb of Lincolnshire. Based on the novel Big Fish: A Novel of Mythical Proportions and its subsequent Tim Burton movie version, Big Fish tells the story of Edward Bloom, a charming traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest, and the larger-than-life tales he tells his adult son, Will, who embarks on a journey of his own to discover the truth behind Edward’s epic adventures.
Kurowski plays Will opposite Broadway star Alexander Gemignani as Edward. Columbia College alum Jesse Klug ’05, a graduate of the Theatre Department‘s Theatre Design Program, is the production’s lightning designer. For tickets, click here.
