Columbia College Chicago Theatre Dept. Alums Bring ‘Cruel Intentions’ to Chicago’s Chopin Theatre – Extended Through Aug. 21

Congratulations to the cast and creative team of Kokandy Productions’ Chicago storefront premiere of Cruel Intentions: The ’90 Musical, including several alumni of the Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department. Due to popular demand, the show has been extended through Sunday, August 21 — a two-week extension — at the Chopin Theatre, located at 1543 W. Division in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. As previously reported in this blog, the show is directed by Columbia College alum Adrian Abel Azevedo ’15, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Theatre Directing program. The cast includes Columbia College alums Josh Pablo Szabo ’19 and Maddison Denault ’20, both graduates of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance, along with current students Kelcy Taylor and Justin Grey McPike. And Columbia College alum Kirsten Baity ’21, who graduated Summa cum Laude with a BA in Theatre with a Playwriting concentration, is the show’s intimacy designer.
