Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumni and faculty are in the cast and production team of Rock of Ages, running April 13 through May 29 at the Paramount Theatre, located at 23 E. Galena Blvd. in downtown Aurora, Illinois. A 2009 Broadway hit, Rock of Ages takes audiences back into the music era of the ‘80s, where rock ‘n’ roll dreamers turn their fantasies into reality. It’s a Hollywood love story told through the hits of top rock bands like Journey, Bon Jovi, Styx, Poison and more.
The production’s cast includes Shantel Cribbs ’17, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance. The show’s co-choreographer is Columbia College faculty member Annie Jo Fischer, who teaches Musical Theatre Dance in the Theatre Department’s Musical Theatre Program.
Columbia College alum Jerry Galante ’96 is the show’s fight choreographer. Columbia College Theatre Department faculty member Susan Gosdick is the dialect coach. Former Columbia College Theatre Department student Kory Danielson is the show’s music director. And Jim Corti, a former Musical Theatre Dance instructor in the Columbia College Theatre Department’s Musical Theatre Program, is Paramount Theatre’s artistic director. For tickets, click here.
