Columbia College Chicago Theatre and Film Alumni Launch ‘3x — Good Music Archived. For a Good Cause’

J. Cody Spellman

Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alum J. Cody Spellman ’13, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Theatre Directing program, is the creative director of 3x, a new music video series showcasing original work by emerging artists. Each performance is dedicated to a non-profit organization or cause that is meaningful to the performers with the intention of providing exposure and fundraising opportunities for that organization. Using the slogan “3x – Good music archived. For a good cause,” the project debuted February 5, 2021, and has its own YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbMD-MwgW-XLJv-ffoy6fDg.

Will Sullivan

3x is produced by Vision One Agency, a company created by Columbia College alum Will Sullivan ’13, a graduate of Columbia’s film and video program. The first three videos feature performances by Bison Bone, YaSi, and The Reminders, with performances dedicated to #SAVEOURSTAGES and OneBodyEnt, a Colorado nonprofit. More videos will be coming in the near future from different cities across the United States.
