Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alum Jess Godwin ’05, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting, is readying the release of her new single, “Sad People.” The song is set for video release on May 6, and Godwin’s fans can pre-save the song on Spotify and Apple Music.

“Sad People” reminds us that it’s OK to be vulnerable and open up about being sad, but our sadness doesn’t define who we are. Raw and honest, Godwin draws on her personal experiences to create music that is as aspirational as it is catchy.
