Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alums are in the cast of Thirteen Days, City Lit Theatre‘s new stage adaptation of Robert F. Kennedy’s memoir of the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, during which he served as Attorney General in the administration of his brother President John F. Kennedy. All the characters in the book are white males; none of the actors onstage will be. Instead, the production will feature a diverse all-female cast, including Columbia College alums Sheila Willis ’94 and Kim Fukawa ’07. Willis will play Secretary of Defense Robert MacNamara, and Fukawa, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting, will portray Anatoly Dobrynin, the Soviet Ambassador to the U.S. during this tense moment in the Cold War.
