Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alum Callie Johnson ’12, a graduate of the Theatre Department‘s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance, makes her Chicago Shakespeare Theatre debut in the company’s eagerly anticipated new production of Hamlet, William Shakespeare’s classic revenge tragedy. Johnson, winner of a Joseph Jefferson Award for her performance in Porchlight Music Theatre’s Pal Joey, plays the supporting role of Reynalda, servant to Hamlet’s tutor Polonius. She also understudies the principal female role of Ophelia. Hamlet opens April 25 and runs through June 9 at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, located on Chicago’s Navy Pier at 800 E. Grand.
