Columbia College Chicago Theatre Alums Bring Pulse Theatre’s ‘In the Blood’ to the Stage March 8-31

Pulse Theatre Company Chicago, a troupe founded by Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumni, is presenting In the Blood, by Pulitzer Prize winner Suzan-Lori Parks.

Aaron Reese Boseman

The show is directed by Columbia College alum Aaron Reese Boseman ‘12, a graduate of Columbia College’s Theatre Directing program. Boseman is co-artistic director of Pulse Theatre, which he cofounded with fellow Columbia College alum Chris Jackson ’14, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance.

Pablo Ponce

The production’s scenic/property designer is Columbia alum Pablo Ponce ’13, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Theatre Design BA program.

Inspired by Nathaniel Hawthorne’s clsssic novel The Scarlet Letter, Parks’ 1999 drama In the Blood concerns a single mother trying to raise five children while living in poverty.
