Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumni and student talent is featured in Beehive: The ’60s Musical, running through August 25 at Metropolis Performing Arts Centre in the northwestern Chicago suburb of Arlington Heights.

Directed and choreographed by former Columbia College Theatre Department student Dina DiCostanzo, the all-female rock music revue features Columbia College alum Halle Bins ’18, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance, as well as current Columbia students Caitlin Dobbins and Bre Jacobs. Dobbins is a student in the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Musical Theatre, and Jacobs is a student in the Musical Theatre Performance BFA program. Gina Martin, also a Musical Theatre Performance BFA student, is an understudy.

The show is described as “a rockin’ celebration following six women as they honor the legendary music and performers of the 60’s, filled with classic hits from iconic singers including Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, The Shirelles, Diana Ross, Lesley Gore, Connie Francis, The Supremes and more.”

Metropolis Performing Arts Centre is located at 111 W. Campbell in downtown Arlington Heights. For tickets, call 847-577-2121 or click here.
