Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alum Lea Ciastko ’16, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Musical Theatre, performs her one-woman show It’s My Cancer and I’ll Laugh If I Want To on Sundays, June 3, 10, and 17, at 6:30 PM at The Second City’s de Maat Studio Theatre, located at 230 W. North in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood. The show is based on Ciastko’s treatment and recovery for a brain tumor in 2017 and 2018. She created this show to tell her story of a girl, a tumor, and the power to manipulate doctors with a sense of humor. Tickets are $8 for college students and veterans, $15 general admission, and $5 for students of The Second City Training Center. The Second City, America’s premier comedy theatre and training center, is the Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department’s partner on the BA Program in Comedy Writing and Performance.
