Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alum Maria Montero ’18, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance, is in the cast of Porchlight Music Theatre’s presentation of the neglected musical Do Re Mi, playing May 22 through 24 at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn, Chicago. Featuring a score by composer Jule Styne and lyricists Betty Comden and Adolph Green, and a book by Garson Kanin, the 1960 show is presented as part of “Porchlight Revisits,” a series featuring concert performances of vintage Broadway musicals that have gone “unsung” since their original productions.
