Tyler Symonè, a junior in the Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department‘s preprofessional BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance, is featured in Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre‘s production of A New Brain, William Finn and James Lapine’s musical about a composer facing a health crisis. The show is based on Finn’s real-life bout with a condition wrongly diagnosed as brain cancer. Symonè plays Rhoda, the composer’s confidant. (Composer-lyricist Finn and librettist Lapine are best known for their Tony Award-winning musical Falsettos.) The show runs through October 29 at No Exit Cafe, 6970 N. Glenwood, in the Glenwood Avenue Arts District in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood.
