Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumni are in the ensemble and production team of an exciting new, intimate, diversely cast, reimagined production of Thornton Wilder’s classic American drama Our Town, running September 6-October 8 at Redtwist Theatre, 1044 W. Bryn Mawr, in Chicago’s Edgewater Theatre District. This Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece of the 20th century is brought lovingly into the 21st century as a love letter to Chicago’s many communities and a reminder that life’s most ordinary moments are often the most profound.

Jared David Michael Grant

The show’s 27-member ensemble includes Columbia alumnus Jared David Michael Grant ’12, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Musical Theatre, as Mrs. Soames. In addition, Kyla Norton, a student in the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting, is the understudy for George Gibbs.

Max Colvill

The production’s assistant director is Columbia alum Max Colvill ’16, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Theatre Directing.
