Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumnus Matthew Rehwoldt ’10 — a graduate of the BA Program in Acting at the Theatre Department, where he specialized in stage combat — is making a mark as a professional wrestler under the ring name Aiden English. Under contract to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), English recently was noted for his “emotional outburst” on WWE’s SmackDown LIVE TV show.

“With the reaction to English’s breakdown on social media, the WWE may feel like this gimmick could be a success,” Sportskeeda blogger Jeremy Bennett recently opined, reporting on English’s “Drama King” on-air breakdown.
