Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alums David Stobbe ’16, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Musical Theatre, and Maddie Sachs ’16, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance, are in the cast of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead at Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, 111 W. Campbell in the Chicago suburb of Arlington Heights. Stobbe plays Rosencrantz and Sachs plays Ophelia in Tom Stoppard’s absurdist take on Shakespeare’s Hamlet as seen through the eyes of two of the classic tragedy’s minor characters. The production is directed by Columbia College Theatre Department faculty member Josh Sobel. Here’s a promotional video interview with Sobel about the show:
