Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department Alum Featured in Improvised Musical ‘Shamilton!’ Jan. 20-March 31

Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alum Shira Wilson ’14, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting, is featured in Shamilton!, a new improvised musical comedy presented by the producers of Baby Wants Candy. Directed by Columbia College Theatre Department faculty member Peter Gwinn, a Second City alum and an Emmy Award-winning writer for The Colbert Report, the improv-based show — inspired by Lin-Manuel Miranda’s hit musical Hamilton — features a 75-minute musical written on-the-spot about a historic figure of the audiences’ choosing.
