Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumni are in the cast and creative/production team of It’s a Wonderful Life: Live in Chicago!, American Blues Theatre‘s annual holiday show.

Performed in the manner of a live 1940s radio broadcast, the production features Foley sound effects executed in full view of the audience by alumnus Shawn Goudie ’04, an actor and Foley Artist. And the creative team includes alumni Grant Sabin ’05 and Paul Deziel ’14. Sabin, the show’s set designer, is a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Theatre Design program; Deziel, the show’s video designer, is a graduate of Columbia’s BA program in technical theatre. Gowdie, Sabin, and Deziel are all Artistic Affiliates of American Blues Theatre. Based on the beloved Frank Capra film, It’s a Wonderful Life: Live in Chicago! runs November 18-December 31 at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln, Chicago.
