Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alum Aisha de Haas costars in the national tour of the Disney Theatrical Productions Broadway hit Newsies, playing in Chicago July 28-August 7. De Haas plays vaudeville performer Medda Larkin, a friend of the show’s protagonist–a newsboy in 1890s New York City.

De Haas’ Broadway credits include the musicals Bring in ‘Da Noise, Bring in ‘Da Funk; Rent; One Mo’ Time, Caroline, or Change; and Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me.
