Kellen Marie in “Cabaret”

Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumni are featured in the musical Cabaret at Dunes Summer Theatre at 288 Shady Oak Drive in Michigan City, Indiana, running July 14-24. The show is presented by the Dunes Arts Foundation. Kellen Marie (BA ’16), a graduate of the Columbia College Theatre Department’s BA Program in Musical Theatre with a Minor in Stage Combat, plays the lead role of Sally Bowles, an aspiring cabaret star in Berlin on the eve of the Nazi Party’s rise to political dominance in Germany. Ryan Liddell (BA ’15), a graduate of Columbia College’s Cinema Art + Science department with a Minor in Acting from the Theatre Department, plays Sally’s lover Cliff, an American writer sojourning in Berlin. And Sasha Markgraf (BFA ’16), a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Theatre Design program, choreographed and designed the costumes for the production in addition to playing the supporting role of Bobby.
