Haven Theatre Company, a Chicago-based troupe whose executive director and co-founder Carol Cohen studied Theatre Design at the Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department, is presenting the U.S. premiere of The Distance, by British playwright Deborah Bruce.

The show’s cast includes Jon Beal (BA ’11), a graduate of the Columbia College Theatre Department’s Acting BA program.

The production team includes lighting designer Claire Chrzan (BA ’11), a graduate of the Columbia College Theatre Department’s Theatre Design BA program, and dialect coach Adam Goldstein, a Theatre Department faculty member.

Described as “a painfully funny play about motherhood and fatherhood, about keeping control and about letting go,” The Distance runs May 20-June 26 at Raven Theatre, 6157 N. Clark, in Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood. For tickets, click here.
