Columbia College Chicago Alum Dino Stamatopoulos’ Film ‘Anomalisa’ Nominated for Oscar

Congratulations to film and TV writer-producer Dino Stamatopoulos, an alumnus of Columbia College Chicago‘s film program. The 2015 film Anomalisa, which he co-produced, has been nominated for an Oscar for Best Animated Feature.

While attending Columbia College in 1983-86, Dino took acting, improv, voice, and comedy classes in the Theatre Department to complement his major studies in film.

Dino also partnered with fellow student Andy Dick, then a Theatre major, in a comedy act when the two were attending Columbia.

Dino is perhaps best known as creator, writer, and executive producer of the Adult Swim TV series Moral Orel and Mary Shelley’s Frankenhole, and was also a writer for Saturday Night Live, Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and Mr. Show with Bob and David.
