Columbia College Chicago Theatre Alumni and Students Present ‘Hotheads’ Solo Performance Evening Aug. 9

Hotheads

Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumni and students appear in The LIVINGroom: Hotheads, an evening of solo performance on Sunday, August 9, at 8 PM. Eight performers offer rants about what they just can’t take any more–and in some cases, what they want more of.

The show is produced by David Gordezky, a graduate of Columbia College’s BA Program in Acting. The performers include alumni and current students from Columbia’s Theatre program, including Hal Baum, Kate Hardiman, Jennifer Kiehl, Emily Nikfar, Abigail Phelps, Catharine Savage, and David Stobbe. The ensemble has worked together over the summer to develop each individual’s monologue.

The LIVINGroom is a  monthly series that plays on the second Sunday of each month. “We blend true life with theatrical elements to connect the performer’s experiences, stories, and thoughts to those of the audience. We seek to engage the audience in as many points of the performance as possible, blurring the line between spectator and performer in order to find commonality with each other,” according to a note on the Facebook page for the show.

The LIVINGroom: Hotheads plays at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont, Chicago. Admission is $10 general admission, or $7 for students with ID. For tickets, click here or call 773-327-5252.
