Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumnus Michael Pogue, a 2006 graduate of the Columbia College Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting, is featured in Stick Fly, running through July 5 at the Windy City Playhouse, 3014 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago. Lydia R. Diamond’s play, directed by former Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department faculty member Chuck Smith, concerns a family vacation weekend disrupted by issues of race, politics, and social status when the family’s two sons both arrive with their respective girlfriends. Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumnus Derrick Trumbly, a 2005 graduate of the Columbia College Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting, is in the cast of Abraham Lincoln Was a F*gg*t, award-winning About Face Theatre‘s production of Bixby Elliott’s comedy about a teenager determined to prove that his favorite president was gay, just like him. John Kelly, a Senior in the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Theatre Design and an ensemble member of Strawdog Theatre Company, is designing the lights for this Chicago premiere, which runs June 5-July 5 at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N.
