Join us in the Library as we welcome renowned photographer, David Plowden for a presentation about his work followed by light refreshments and a signing of his latest book, Requiem for Steam: The Railroad Photographs of David Plowden published by W.W. Norton & Company.
The event will be held on Wednesday, December 1st from 6:00-8:00pm, 3rd Floor North, in the Library. We are located at 624 S. Michigan Ave. The lecture begins promptly at 6:00pm followed by the reception and book signing at 7:00pm.
David Plowden is the author of more than twenty photography books, including: Bridges: The Spans of North America, Vanishing Point: Fifty Years of Photography, and A Handful of Dust: Disappearing America. He is the subject of the Emmy award-winning documentary, David Plowden: Light, Shadow and Form, narrated by Bill Kurtis.
