A still from a video portrait of a previous participant.
Megan Pitcher, a thesis-bound media student, is looking for community members to “to be directors of physical adventures in their workplace settings” as part of her thesis and ongoing arts practice. The goal is to bring mindfulness and increased range into otherwise familiar activities. Pitcher and her collaborators visit the workplace of the participants for an hour session where she develops a unique movement practice. The encounters are filmed and crafted into multi-layered video portraits.
The project is titled And Me in My Place, and can be accessed online here, where there is more information and a form to participate.
