October’s Visiting Artist lecture and studio visit opportunity has been called off for now, pending Chrysanne Stathacos’ injury recovery. Stathacos is currently recovering from a broken foot, and has been prohibited from traveling until her foot is farther on the road to recovery. Her visit will be rescheduled for later this semester.

In the meantime, other guest artists are coming to InterArts, including Ligorano Reese (presenting a November 14 lecture, and November 15 they will be available for studio visits with InterArts MFAs). Classroom visits are in the works, the first by Maggie Puckett (November 6) to Miriam Schaer’s graduate course. Following that, Esther Smith and Dikko Faust are slated to visit the Multiples class, which is held Wednesdays from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

On November 15, Jen Bervin is scheduled to visit the first year book and paper course “TTM,” aka Thinking Through Making, for a presentation and discussion.

Overall, there is a steady parade of influential artists coming into the InterArts MFA program all during fall 2013.
