Interdisciplinary Arts Alum Kevin Valentine, Matt Pierce, and Ramah Jihan collaborated on a developing video project for World Bicycle Relief, an organization dedicated to providing access to independence and livelihood through the power of bicycles by partnering with existing NGO, government and community based organizations. World Bicycle Relief has worked in numerous countries, donating thousands of bicycles, including providing 24,400 bicycles to people in Sri Lanka in the aftermath of the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, and 23,000 bicycles to volunteer health care workers and disease prevention educators caring for people living with and affected by HIV/ AIDS in Zambia. The video was created entirely in After Effects, and the sound track, created by Jihan, was made using sounds created only by sampling the WBR Bicycle (spinning wheel, tapping fender etc…). Congratulations to Valentine, Pierce & Jihan on this exciting project!
