Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumni are in the cast and production team of Science Fiction/Double Feature: A Rocky Horror Picture Party, an immersive Rocky Horror-themed Halloween Party and performance event on Saturday, October 29, and Sunday, October 30, at 9 P.M. each night. Presented by Haven Chicago, the event takes place at the Den Theatre, located at 1331 N. Milwaukee in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. The event features Rocky Horror-themed performances by local actors, drag numbers, burlesque and circus acts, and dancing. For tickets, click here.
The cast includes Columbia College alums Maddison Denault ’20, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance, as Columbia and David Stobbe ’16, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Musical Theatre, as Brad.
Columbia College alum Jayce Lewis ’21, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Musical Theatre BA program, is the stage manager. And Columbia College alum Julia Farrell Diefenbach ’15, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Theatre Directing program, is the event’s immersive consultant as well as being Haven’s program manager and social media manager.
Haven’s board of directors includes former Columbia College Theatre Design program student and Den Theatre co-owner Carol Cohen and former Columbia College Theatre Department faculty member Josh Sobel.
