Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alumni, faculty, and students are in the cast and creative team of the play Paris, running June 11 through July 23 at Steep Theatre in Chicago’s Edgewater Andersonville Theatre District.
The cast includes Columbia College alum Terence Sims ’13, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting, and former Theatre Department student Michaela Petro.
This offbeat workplace comedy, about a Black worker at a retail giant in a predominantly white Vermont town, is directed by Theatre Department faculty member Jonathan Berry. Theatre Department faculty member Heather Gilbert and Columbia College alum Conchita Avitia ’18, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Theatre Design, are the show’s lighting designers. And Theatre Department student Ender Collins is the assistant stage manager.
Paris is the first production in Steep Theatre’s new home, located at 1044 W. Berwyn in Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood. Admission is free but reservations are recommended. For tickets, click here.
