The Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department continues its 2018-2019 Mainstage Season with Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, Tom Stoppard’s absurdist take on Shakespeare’s Hamlet as seen through the eyes of two of the classic tragedy’s minor characters.

Described as an “existential tragicomedy,” the production is directed by Columbia College alum and faculty member Marissa McKown ’04, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Theatre Directing program and managing director of the 16th Street Theater in Berwyn. With a cast and creative/production team of student artists, the show runs February 8 through 16 in the splendid new Courtyard Theater at the renovated Getz Theater Center of Columbia College, located at 72 E. 11th St. in Chicago’s South Loop.
