The Columbia College Chicago School of Theatre and Dance‘s 2025-26 Mainstage Season continues with We Make Monsters, an immersive theatrical experience that unearths the creatures lurking in our stories, our homes, and ourselves—blurring the line between the familiar and the terrifying.
The show runs March 11 through 21 in Studio 404 of the historic Getz Theatre Center of Columbia College, located at 72 E. 11th St. in Chicago’s South Loop. Student discount tickets are available. For tickets, click here.
Performed by a student cast, with a creative team composed of students and faculty, the production is devised and directed by Columbia College alumnus and faculty member Brian Shaw ’86, a graduate of the Theatre Program’s BA Program in Theatre and coordinator of the Theatre Program’s BA/BFA Program in Acting. Shaw also holds an MA in Applied Performance Studies from the School for New Learning at DePaul University.
Monsters. Under the bed. In the house across the street. In the old stories. At the edges of the known world. We Make Monsters will sink its sharp, uneven teeth into the territory of monster making.
