Columbia College Chicago Theatre, Music, and Film/TV Alums Bring ‘War of the Worlds’ to Lifeline Theatre

Columbia College Chicago alums and faculty members are in the cast and production team of a new adaptation of H.G. Wells’ sci-fi classic The War of the Worlds, about a Martian invasion of Earth. The show runs through July 13 at Lifeline Theatre, located at 6912 N. Glenwood in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood. Student discounts are available. For tickets, click here.

The production’s director is Lifeline’s managing producing director Heather Currie, a faculty member at Columbia College Chicago’s School of Film and Television. Columbia College Music alum Joe Griffin is the show’s composer and sound designer. The assistant stage manager is Columbia College Chicago Theatre alum Rebecca Lynn Dose ’19, a graduate of the Theatre Program’s Stage Management BA program. And Lifeline’s technical director is Columbia College alum Harrison Ornelas ’15, a graduate of Columbia’s Film and Television BA Program.

John Hildreth

Lifeline Theatre’s stage adaptation of H.G. Wells’ novel is written by former Columbia College Theatre faculty member John Hildreth.
