The Silent Theatre Company, an ensemble founded and led by Columbia College Chicago Theatre alumni, presents The Missing Box Top, described as “an adult clown show that juggles conspiracies and woo-woo.” This new devised theatre piece runs May 30 through June 15 at the Labyrinth Club, 3658 N. Pulaski, Chicago. For tickets, click here. Tickets are $15. Pay-what-you-can tickets are offered at the door pending availability.
The two-person show stars Columbia College alums Gillian Hastings ’05, a graduate of the Theatre Program’s BA Program in Acting, and Tonika Todorova ’02, a graduate of the Theatre Program’s BA Program in Theatre. The pair appear as Gilly Willy and Toni Woni, two clowns who have had a huge revelation and are now preparing themselves for . . . something, although they can’t seem to agree on what it is. Spiritual enlightenment? The apocalypse? Only time will reveal the answer. Steeped in silly, this show offers a philosophical journey through a range of existential questions, perfectly suited for the perplexing modern era we inhabit.
