Jackalope Theatre, a company founded and led by alumni of the Columbia College Chicago Theatre Program, presents the world premiere of Rehana Lew Mirza’s drama Neighborhood Watch. The show opens May 27 and runs through June 28 at Broadway Armory Park, located at 5917 N. Broadway in Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood. For tickets, click here.
The show’s cast features Columbia College alum Victor Holstein ’04, a graduate of the Theatre Program’s BA Program in Acting.
The show’s director is Columbia College alum Kaiser Ahmed ’08, a graduate of the Theatre Program’s Theatre Directing program. Ahmed, a co-founder of Jackalope Theatre Company, also serves as Jackalope’s artistic director. Victor Holstein and Kaiser Ahmed are also members of the Columbia College Chicago School of Theatre and Dance‘s Theatre Advisory Board.
Columbia College alum Tristin Hall ’18, a graduate of the Theatre Program’s BA Program in Musical Theatre, is the show’s fight and intimacy director.
Set in the aftermath of the 2024 U.S. election, Neighborhood Watch concerns a white suburban family man’s reaction when a Muslim moves into the neighborhood.
