The Point Theatre Project, a company founded and led by Columbia College Chicago Theatre alums, presents Gladiator Fight Night: Unleash the Beast!, an interactive theatrical performance, on Sunday, May 4, at 7:30 PM at The Hive On Hubbard, 1843 W. The show’s cast of theatrical combatants includes Columbia College Theatre alums Sar Cohen ’18 and Chloe Streif ’18, both graduates of the Theatre Program’s BA Program in Acting with a Minor in Stage Combat; Veronica Oczowinski ’18, a graduate of the Theatre Program’s BA Program in Musical Theatre; and Sierra Buffum ’16, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Acting BA Program, as well as former Columbia College Theatre student Sophie Rosado.
The show is written by Columbia College alum Brandon C. Nelson ’18, a graduate of the Acting BA program; directed by Columbia College alum Jen Sloan ’17, a graduate of the Theatre Program’s Theatre Directing Program; and produced by Columbia College alums Tristin Hall ’18, a graduate of the Theatre Program’s BA Program in Musical Theatre, and Zimbo Gessert ’19, a graduate of the Theatre Program’s BA Program in Acting.
Columbia College alum Sadie Walton ’17, a graduate of the Theatre Program’s BA Program in Comedy Writing and Performance, hosts the evening. The sound designer is Columbia College alum Emil Sueck ’18, a graduate of the Acting BA program.
