Columbia College Chicago Theatre alumni and faculty are in the cast and creative team of Steppenwolf Theatre Company‘s first production of 2025, a highly anticipated revival of Sam Shepard’s drama Fool for Love. The show runs January 30 through March 16 at Steppenwolf, which is located at 1650 N. Halsted in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. Student discounts are available. For tickets, click here.

The production stars Columbia College alum Caroline Neff ’07, a graduate of the Theatre Program’s BA Program in Acting.

As reported previously in this blog, Neff — who came to Chicago from her native Texas in 2004 to study acting at Columbia College Chicago — is a Steppenwolf Theatre Company ensemble member and a Steep Theatre company member.

She has won two Joseph Jefferson Awards, Chicago theatre’s top prize, for her performances in plays at Steep and Victory Gardens theatres.

Victor Holstein

Columbia College alum Victor Holstein ’04, also a graduate of the BA Program in Acting and co-chair of the Columbia College School of Theatre and Dance’s Theatre Advisory Board, is an understudy in the production.

Columbia College Theatre faculty members Heather Gilbert, Mikhail Fiksel, and Kate DeVore are the production’s lighting designers, sound designer, and dialect and voice coach respectively.
