Synapse Arts, a Chicago-based dance-theatre company co-founded and led by Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alum Rachel Damon ’05, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Theatre Design BA program with a Minor in Dance, will celebrate its 20th (!) birthday on Saturday, August 3, with the Synapse Arts Birthday Bash at the Berger Park Cultural Center, located at 6205 N. Sheridan in Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood. The afternoon event, running from noon to 4 PM, will feature performances, films, workshops, and cupcakes (of course).
The Birthday Bash is a celebration of Synapse Arts in a welcoming, festival-type environment. General admission is free, and all attendees will have access to open events and get a cupcake. Attendees who donate at various levels can add some additional flair to their Birthday Bash experience, including an Interactive Museum tour, pre-registration for classes, and more!
