Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department alums are in the cast and production team of Kokandy Productions‘ staging of The SpongeBob Musical, running June 22 through August 20 at the Chopin Theatre, located at 1543 W. Division in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. For tickets, click here.
The cast includes Columbia College alums Quinn Rigg ’20, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance, as Squidward Q. Tentacles and Jennifer Ledesma ’16, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Musical Theatre, as Pearl Krabs. And Columbia College alums Connar Brown ’19, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BA Program in Acting with a Minor in Voiceover and a Minor in Video Production, and Maddison Denault ’20, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s BFA Program in Musical Theatre Performance, are members of The Bikini Bottom ensemble.
The production team includes Columbia College alums Kirsten Baity ’21, who graduated Summa cum Laude with a BA in Theatre with a Playwriting concentration, and Leo Batutis ’20, a graduate of the Theatre Department’s Writing for Performance program with a Minor in Theatre Directing. Baity is the show’s intimacy choreographer, and Batutis is the assistant director.
